LIGHTING

Lighting has been adjusted, and the game's overall rendering of light is significantly improved. The updated areas and cutscenes present with even greater beauty and clarity than before.

FRAMERATE AND RESOLUTION

NVIDIA DLSS support enables higher frame rates and upscaled resolution, allowing FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH to run smoothly with up to 120 FPS on high-spec PC environments. All while the variable refresh rate (VRR) support can improve the gameplay feel further.

TEXTURES

The LoD for background models and MIP maps for background textures can both be freely configured in the options settings.
With this background polygon density and texture density can be set higher than previously, allowing for gameplay with higher-quality graphics.

The PC version of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH features three default graphics presets and the ability to customize the settings. These presets have been optimized to allow PC players to experience the game in the best quality possible across different set-ups.
While frame rates of up to 120 FPS are supported on high-spec PC environments, we are working on optimizations to make sure that FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH plays well on Steam Deck.
